Canalside Music Together
Who is considered a guest?
A guest is any adult who joins us for class who is not one of the primary caregivers that normally brings a registered child to class each week. A guest is also a sibling or child who is not registered with us for the semester.
Guests are welcome to join us (provided there is space available) after week one of our Winter, Fall and Spring semesters.
Please read the following in its entirety and inform your guest of our policies so they understand how our class works before joining us.
Please do not come to class with a guest without prior permission from our CMT office. This includes any unregistered sibling who is unexpectedly home from school. Families who arrive to class with an unregistered child without prior notice to our office will not be able to stay.
YOU MUST CALL THE OFFICE AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO OR NEED TO BRING A GUEST. There is a possibility that there will not be room to honor your request, especially if your class is completely full.
It is the registered family's responsibility to convey any and all guest policy information to their guest(s) before their visit with us.
IF YOUR GUEST IS AN ADULT:
Our entrance (side door) is locked during class (about 15 minutes in) to increase security and to decrease interruption so it is important that your guest arrives with you at the beginning of class. Guest(s) must also do their best to remain for the duration of the 45 minute class.
If a guest is joining us for class, it is with the understanding that they are agreeing to be an active participant in the family circle. This does not mean they must know all of our music, but it does mean that they are willing to sing, move and act silly with the rest of us.
Chairs are available for anyone who requires one (sometimes it's not easy getting up and down from the floor, I agree). Please ask and we'll be more than happy to provide one for you.
If your guest decides not to join us for class in the family circle, he or she must leave the studio completely, unless he or she is tending to a child that needs assistance or a break from class. There are many neighboring businesses and eateries your guest can enjoy while you attend class with your child.
Photography or videotaping during class is not allowed.
IF YOUR GUEST IS A CHILD:
All guests age 6 or younger require a $10 guest fee per class, whether they participate or not. No exceptions. The $10 is payable directly to your CMT teacher before the start of class.
Confirmation must be received from our office before any non-registered child age 6 or younger is allowed to attend class.
Children are not allowed to sit in our waiting area while class is in session. No exceptions. If you have a non-registered sibling home unexpectedly on your class day, please schedule a make-up instead.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at 585.356.8879 or by email at email@example.com.
